I colored her with my Copics to match some Echo Park Christmas paper that i have been wanting to use. I kind of like how her blue hair turned out.

Now I'm off to think up an idea for Christmas ATC's that are due in 2 days.....HELP!

Thanks for stopping by,

IT'S a TWILIGHT THURSDAY

Hi there and Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends.

In keeping with the "movie" theme at TGF and to celebrate the release of Breaking Dawn, the farmers have designed TWILIGHT INSPIRED cards.

Here's mine........

TGF DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT

Hi there all. As most of you probably already know, Monday means designer spotlight time at The Greeting Farm, and today it's my turn in the spotlight.

So, a little bit about me. I live in a large rural town(100,000 pop) called Ballarat in Victoria, Australia with our 4 gorgeous daughters and gender outnumbered husband. After retiring from work as a doctor, i set up my own scrapbooking store almost 4 years ago, and it probably goes without saying that i love my job very much.

My papercrafting journey started with scrapbooking some 6 years ago, but since discovering copic markers  a little over a year ago, my passion is now cardmaking. I could ramble on for hours, so instead i thought i would come up with a list of my top 10 cardmaking supplies/tools/techniques.

1. Greeting Farm stamps.

2. Copic markers.

3. Paper pads

4. Kraft cardstock.

5. Twine

6. Cloud paper.

7. Grass die

8. Tiny paper flowers

9. paper piecing

10. Making scenes.

Phew, what a list. When i color an image, one of my most favorite things to do is to create a background scene that i can put it on rather than just placing it on a plain piece of card. So, i've created a card to share with you today using this technique, and i think i have used nearly everything on my top 10 list.

I hope you like my card, and that i have inspired you to create something special today or sometime soon.

Happy crafting,

Tracey.

It's DECONSTRUCTED SKETCH TIME

Hi there. I know it's been a few days since i last blogged. November seems to be the busiest month of the entire year in our household.

I have managed to do a little creating, just not a whole lot of sharing.

I'm here with Jen's Deconstructed Sketch #28

Here is her sketch for this week. Amazing as per usual.

...and here is my card....

Sketch28 wm

I paper pieced Holiday Anya's dress and added sparkly fluff to make the trim look fluffy. Although it wasn't in the sketch, i couldn't resist adding a hanging bauble to the offset bow.

I hope you like my card, and don't forget to check out the rest of the team, then play along.

Thanks for stopping by,

Tracey.

CHALLENGED AND HIJACKED!

Has my title got you wondering? Well there are two parts to my post, which is the second post in one day.

First of all the challenge..... Well, the greeting farm had their first ever customer challenge and chit chat night last night. It was a blast, and although i had no time to craft on the night, i managed to make a movie-themed card tonight. Here it is. I hope you can tell which movie it's from.

IMG_dylan wm

Hopefully you guessed High School Musical right away. When the movies were released a few years back, ALL of our four girls were absolutely obsessed with all things HSM!

Now, for the HIJACKED part of my post. Harriet, my daughter who turned 14 yesterday (see previous post), loves to craft, and especially loves to color with copics and paper-piece. Recently i noticed that La La Land crafts has a kids blog with challenges, and she was keen to enter. So here is HARRIET'S first ever challenge entry. The challenge was to use polka dots. She used Hunny Bunny Marci, with dots on her hat, skirt and background. She would love her own blog, but for now, will have to make do with posting on mine.

You can also see her card on the lalaland kids blog  HERE

Thanks for looking. I'm sure Harriet would be thrilled if you'd like to comment on her card here.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HARRIET

Yesterday we celebrated DD#2's 14th birthday. We had a lovely morning at the Ballarat Show, followed by an afternoon at the movies, then dinner at Harriet's favorite restaurant.

Cake decorating is her passion at the moment, so when my very first "taylored expressions" stamps arrived last week, i knew right away which one i was going to use.

....and of course the birthday girl with the  cupcake birthday cake that i made for her!

That's all for today. Off to pack for school camp.

DECONSTRUCTED SKETCH #27

Hi there,

Thursday morning means Jen's new sketch is out. I am so thrilled to be guesting on her amazing DT for 3 months. I'm having a blast.

I must say, i was a little nervous about this weeks sketch, but I really shouldn't have been. It came together quickly and easily and now ranks in my top 5 sketches. So, enough from me. Here's my card for sketch 27........

Sketch27 wm

.....and here is Jen's amazing sketch....

Sketch27a

Did you notice i didn't stamp or use copics today. Quite a change for me, but i always like change, otherwise life would be pretty boring!

I'm hanging out to see what the rest of the DT has been up to, as I'm sure you are too. So here's a list of the DT links.

After you've checked them all out, why don't you join in the fun. Full details on how to enter are included on Jen's Deconstructed Sketch blog.

Thanks for stopping by,

Tracey.

"Clearly a Special Showcase..and SALE!"

Hello, friends!

As promised, we are here today with a special CLEAR STAMP SHOWCASE and a ONE-DAY only SALE!  For today only, all clear stamp sets are only $12 each!   We want to make your holidays as stress-free as possible and who doesn't love a little online shopping to save from bearing the crowds and crazy limited quantities out there?

We are so excited to bring you our "CLEAR STAMP SHOWCASE" today at The Greeting Farm!

In addition to our one-day sale, we have a few prizes along the way!  Not one, but TWO LUCKY WINNERS will win a clear stamp set of choice just for hopping with TGF today!

Our clear stamp sets are made from high-quality photopolymer and we are very happy so far with the feedback we've received from both our design teams and customers alike! We asked everyone to be very candid with us to make sure that we were bringing you the same, quality TGF product you'd expect from us. I, for one, am super-fussy when it comes to clear stamps. I refuse to stamp with cheap and nasty acrylic, as they just don't produce a clean image. However, you'll be pleased to know that TGF only uses high quality photopolymer to make their clear stamps, and the image is sharp, time after time.

We love being able to bring you such fun and versatile lines of images and our clears are no exception! While we won't be going all clear, we do enjoy the versatility of this new line and really hope you do, too!

With our newsletter coming right around the corner on the 15th, we'd love to offer a Clear Stamp Showcase: Newsletter edition to get our customers even more acquainted with our Clear line and would love to see YOUR submissions!   Please email Jessica at yeahshestamps@gmail.com by November 12th to submit your entry for consideration with a short write up of your project. Showcased projects will WIN a free stamp!

For now, we have a great lineup planned for you today with LOTS of creativity and fun ideas from clean and simple to stunningly colored and embellished- and don't forget to leave comments along the way and then come back here to comment and enter to WIN one of the TWO prizes!  We hope you gain tons of inspiration today and can't wait to get started, so without further adieu, here is my project using FUREVER. A little gift bag and tag, filled with feline goodies to give to one spoilt little kitty cat.....

.....and here is the DT lineup for today's hop........

Thanks so much for joining us today as we CLEARLY can't wait for you to enjoy this special event! Don't forget that the DECEMBER Guest Designer contest ends 11/10, so make sure to get your entries in to Jess before the big reveal of Phase 1 on our Facebook page on Friday, 11/11!

What's more?  Please join us at 7pm CST on Friday, November 11th in our SCS Forum for our First-EVER TGF "Customer Challenge and Chit-Chat" night!  Our first night will be a MOVIE THEME event so pop some popcorn, grab your favorite candy, and join us for LIVE chatter, trivia, and a challenge with our first Customer Hostess to be revealed shortly!  :)

If you're not able to join us for the live chat no worries- we will be doing these at different times of day to include our overseas friends when we can. Challenge will be open ALL weekend, too, so there will be time for EVERYONE to play!  We'll wrap up about 10pm CST or whenever we conk out- but for now, get ready to join us for a night at the movies!

See you there,

Tracey.

MATILDA DOES CHRISTMAS

I hope everyone's having/had a lovely weekend. I have a big week coming up, with Ingvild Bolme coming to teach a workshop in my store on Tuesday, and also preparing for DD#2's 14th Birthday on Saturday.

I do, however have a card to show before i begin yet another crazy week.

I loved Jen's Deconstructed Sketch  this week so much, that i have already made another card using the same sketch.......

Sketch26 wm

I really should do this more often. While i had these Jillibean soup papers on my craft desk, along with matching markers and of course Jen's sketch, it only took a fraction of the time to whip up a few extra cards that are similar, but not identical.

During the TGF release party chat over at SCS i mentioned that i was going to color Matilda's hair using a different technique. Well, this is her, and i have colored her hair as though it were going to be black, and then when i'm finished, i color completely over it in my color of choice, whether this be pink, blue, or in this case red for Christmas. I have a photo step-by-step tutorial here if you are interested.

So that's all for now.

I'll be back Tuesday after Ingvild's class with a special TGF event.

Happy stamping,

Tracey. XO.

Here's our sketch for this week:

...........and here's my take on the sketch

Sketch26whimsywm

As soon as I saw this cute little peguin I knew he would go perfectly with Jillibean Soup's new Christmas papers, which just so happen to feature penguins. I added a paper-pieced penguin scarf using Doodlebug dp, and some new MME twine, and there you have it. Such a fun, easy sketch to work with. Thanks Jen.

Please visit the rest of the Deconstructed Sketch Girls to see what they have created this week!!

RELEASE DAY AT THE FARM

Howdy all. Pinch and punch for the first of the month, and that means it's release day at THE GREETING FARM

I have chosen to celebrate today with Creeper Sunday. He is so amazingly stylish in his scarf with piercing blue eyes..........

IMG_creepersunday wm

I think I am finally starting to get the hang of boy cards with my "less is more" motto. Couldn't keep my hands off the glitter though! The hearts are rather sparkly but hopefully i got away with it.

I teamed Sunday with some new crate paper, and i think the cloud paper may even be some older crate paper too. After procrastinating for way too long about where to put my sentiment i finally settled on my "sentiment border". Always nice to try something new.

So, i hope you like my card today. We don't have a blog hop as such today, as we're saving it for a special event next week. Instead, pop on over to the design team's blogs, which are all in my side bar, and one lucky person who leaves a comment on every blog will WIN A PRIZE. A full list of the TGF Design Team (including our wonderful November guest Kris) can be found in my sidebar, or on the TGF blog  HERE

And don't forget to join us on the  SCS FORUM  today for chatter, prizes, and lots of fun.

See you there,

Tracey.

CREEPIN' BY WITH A HALLOWEEN HI

Hi there and Happy Halloween. Even though we don't really celebrate Halloween here like in the US, today marks the preview day for two new CREEPER CREW, "Saturday" and "Sunday". But wait for it.......there's a surprise..........they're BOYS!

YAY, i hear you all say. Now we have boys to put with our creeper girls. I am most definitely over the moon about these two new releases.

They are both WAY too cute though to make into Halloween cards, so here is my project for today using Creeper Saturday..........

IMG_creepersaturday wm

How gorgeously CUTE is he? I colored him with copics to match a new MME paper pad that is fairly boyish. My girls think he looks girly but i prefer to think of him as a modern metrosexual. LOL

Creeper Saturday and Sunday along with Matilda and Holiday Anya are available in the TGF store Nov. 1st . Don't forget to join us all day on SCS for random chitter chatter, some prizes, and FUN!

Our Guest Designer contest is going on now through November 10th. The first round will be posted during our first 'virtual stamp event' on our SCS forum on November 11th so be sure to get your entries in.

ALL clear sets are stocked and ready to make their way home to you with your November stamp purchases!

Be sure to stop back tomorrow for RELEASE DAY!  See you then!
