A BIRTHDAY GIRL

DD #2's bestie celebrated her 13th Birthday on the weekend, so we made an extra-special 13 year old Birthday card for her. I had already coloured the CC designs cupcake girl, so we matched her with some American crafts City Park paper, and even decorated the inside too!

Then on Sunday i was lucky enough to go to my scrapping buddy Fiona's house to do some child-free Copic colouring. Had lots of fun, and even got the design ready for my "australia" themed ATC's.

Lots to do now to prepare for The Imagination Factory retreat this weekend,so prob won't say HI til next week now.

Bye for now,

HALLOWEEN

Hi there. In Australia we don't really tend to celebrate Halloween, although it has become a little more popular over the last couple of years. Last Halloween, 2 of our daughters were asked to go trick or treating with different friends, and we allowed them to, which of course led to the older two also wanting to join in. This year though, i think we'll just try having our own little family celebration at home.

Anyway, i thought i'd make my first Halloween card ever, and submit it to the copic oz challenge. Since i don't even own any Halloween stamps or paper, i used a Lil Lolita digi stamp, which i think i have made look the part ok. Once i improve my computer skills i think i'm really going to like digi stamps. So here's my card.....

I used copic markers to color her, and added some kindy glitz to the skulls and grass, cosmo cricket paper, magnolia & prima flowers.

Thanks for looking.

TRY AGAIN

Hi there again.

Well, yay that the photo worked but i'm sad that it really is too small. If you double click on it you can see it in full size, but the little one is a bit annoying. So here goes with a different photo.

Big YAY'S here now. Just what i wanted i think. Now i need to tell you about the 2 cards. I was so excited that i totally forgot to in the last post!

These are a couple of favorites from the recent school hols down at the beach. DH kindly bought me a second hand trestle table to set up my copics on so that we didn't have to move everything at meal times. The result was LOTS and lots of yummy coloring followed by making some into cute little cards. This one is a Sarah Kay stamp which is totally not my style, but i had so much fun coloring and then adding all those pretty Prima embellies to. The card in the last post was a Greeting Farm digi stamp! I have only just discovered digi stamps and i think i will really like them once i've got the hang of this puter! Gotta go post this now to see if it looks OK.

PHOTO TIME

Well, Hi there,

I thought post # 2 really needed a photo, so i have been busy taking pics of my latest creations. The only prob is, hubby has decided that apple macs really are the way to go when it comes to computers, and a totally new system to learn really doesn't go down too well with my computer/technology phobia. So i'll give it a try....wish me luck! Now all i need to do is actually find the photos on the computer somewhere and somehow get them here....hmmmmm.

IMG_8018a .....wow, here it is. i think i started trying at about 10 am and here it is many many hours later, but i did figure it out almost all by myself, of which i am rather proud. Not sure what it will actually look like posted so maybe i'd better post this just to check. Then if all's good i will definitely post again shortly. I think i'll need DH's help though to get the links working. He's rather a computer whiz....maybe i could get him to teach me?

Bye for now

WELCOME to my creative space

Hi there everyone and welcome to my blog. I should tell you from the outset that computers and blogs are definitely not my thing so you'll need to be super understanding while i'm starting out. I'll try my best but i'm not making any rash promises.

For the past two and a half years i have been the proud owner of my local scrap shop, THE IMAGINATION FACTORY, in my hometown of Ballarat in country Victoria. I love to scrap but don't find as much time to do it of late. I have discovered stamping and coloring with Copic markers recently, which i am loving too. On any given day you may find me scrapping, coloring, sewing, crocheting, knitting, taking photos, cooking, reading, or best of all just hanging with my four beautiful girlies and gender outnumbered but very understanding husband.

So, welcome to my blog.
