A LAYOUT

As promised, here is the Basic Grey layout that i have been working on. The papers are from the new Hello Luscious range, and the page is designed to be a store sample.

I also used the new Studio Calico wood pieces, which i  glimmermisted. Quite simple, but i like the final result.

I hope you like it too.(By the way it looks crooked but is actually straight in real life.)

STILL IN LOVE

Yes, with my new air compressor still.LOL.

Had a play with making a sky with clouds. Not really happy with the finished product, but OK for a first try i guess. Not sure why i got all the splatters...maybe we'll just pretend its rain.

I used;

Lawn Fawn stamp

Xpress blending card,

My new air compressor (that i love)

Can't remember which color copic!

Reminisce papers (new)

Souffle pen Kraft cardstock.

Twinery twine.

I think that's about it.

I finished a layout tonight using the new Basic Grey "HELLO  LUSCIOUS" papers. Too dark to take photo now, so that's a job for tomorrow.

MY NEW TOY

Well, its official. I am in love.......with my new air compressor! Yes, that's right. It enables you to use your copics with an airbrush. I bought it back in January but had been too scared to use it until now. Having used it now, i think i want to use it on every single image i color from here on.

I really shouldn't show before the end of the month, but i am too excited to wait. So here's a sneak peek of my March ATC's. The theme is flowers and the blue edges are done with the airbrush.

A BABY GIRL

Hi there,

Feeling rather unwell today with a seriously sore throat, so decided to finish off a card that i had been coloring for  a challenge over at Suzanne Dean's Color me Creative Classroom. Her blog address is over in my sidebar. (I'm not too good at links yet, so hopefully that will get you there)

I quite like how it has turned out. I used some new skin and hair color combo's that i haven't tried before. Pushed myself out of my comfort zone and it worked, i think.

I also thought i should start to try writing a materials list, so here goes.

MATERIALS:

Stampavie, and darkroom door stamps,

Spellbinders dies,

Memento Ink,

Copic markers (too many to list, LOL)

SPICA pens (there's lots of glitter that doesn't show in photo)

Maya road ribbon and pin,

Heidi Grace pins,

Patterned papers from stash,

Kraft cardstock.

Hope i didn't leave anything out.

MY NEW CAMERA

I think i might have mentioned that DH bought me a new camera a couple of weeks ago. I really am so spoilt! Last night was the third night of my 6 week photography course, and i am learning heaps. I tried to put some of what i have learnt into practice, and little Daisy was very obliging, posing happily, although not to happy to sit ON the ivy, as requested. Got lots of nice shots of her, but i really like this one.

Maybe i should go scrap it now......

ANOTHER BOY

I just loved my last boy card so much that i had to do another.

This time i played with texture on his jeans, which i think looks kinda cool.

Used some VERY old ribbon and braid from my stash too, and pulled out the sewing machine in my newly tidied scrap room. I'm going to leave the machine set up so that i am more inclined to add a little stitching to everything.

Anyway, heres my card. I entered it in a sketch challenge at The Greeting Farm.

MARCI POCKET TAG

Yesterday i attended the Copic Project class in Melbourne, taught by the lovely Mandi Klinger. It was just for retailers to get ideas for copic projects/classes. We used some cute new stamps from a company called LALA LAND crafts, and this little tag has a pocket behind the colored image, and the purple tag pulls out from the pocket.

IT'S A BOY

Well, a boy card, anyway. It's very exciting, because i just don't usually do boy cards. Having 4 girls, there's really not much need. But i colored in this cute little Greeting Farm boy at the Copic Demo, and then couldn't wait to use the new My Minds Eye papers to make him into a card. I kinda like him.

Hope you like him too.

Off to play with my 12 new Sketch colors, which just arrived as i was leaving work today. Yay!

HAIR #2

Well, i did have time to play and here is the result....

IMG_0161ab

I even made her into a card using the new Sassafrass papers and prima embellies. Initially i thought her hair was going to look terrible, but in the end i am really happy with it. Sorry the photo is a bit dark, it makes the detail of  the hair a little difficult to see. The wind kept blowing the card off my fence into the garden and then my memory card was full, so it will have to do. So, if you like her hair, you should look at buttercups blog. It is in my side bar under Blogs i like, and she tells you which colours to use to achieve this effect. Thanks Buttercup.

HAIR

I'm always looking for new ways to colour hair, and i've just discovered one! The hair colour is a deep, dark, reddish brown, and i found it on a great blog which i will share with my finished product. Off to try it now....wish me luck.

A NEW MAGNOLIA

Saturdays COPIC demo day at the imagination factory went well. Best of all, i got to color ALL day. YAY! one of my most favorite things to do at the moment. Lots of lovely ladies called in. I hope i was able to teach them something they didn't know about copic markers.

I colored most of this  little magnolia girl with the butterflies at the demo. Rather than waste her, i finished off the coloring and made her into a birthday card for a little girl. Unfortunately, i put quite a few marks around her with my dirty fingers whilst i was coloring, hence i had to cut her out, which i don't really like the look of. Oh, well. Here she is anyway.
