ANOTHER GIRL CARD

Hi there. Just back from a lovely Easter spent with lovely family at the beach. How lucky i am to have such wonderful family.

I snuck my copics into my suitcase...LOL. Lucky i did, because my daughters and nieces colored almost constantly, all weekend. I managed a little coloring myself too, and tried really hard to just color images that i have not previously used.

Usually i take ages to put the actual card together, but this one was super-speedy, which is lucky because i really should be either doing my ATC's or making a royal Wedding cake. (REALLY....i'm not kidding!!)

Anyway, here's the card......

SUFFERING WITHDRAWAL

We're still in Birthday mode here. Annabel's party is tomorrow evening, with 23 fifteen year olds coming here for a pool party. Today was spent cleaning, shopping, and making MORE birthday cakes!

Hence, the scrapping withdrawal symptoms. All i've had a chance to create this week is a birthday card and bookmark for my little daisy girl. The Greeting Farm image on her Birthday card i actually colored LONG ago, so please don't look too closely at the coloring. I also added the two white stripes on her red tae kwon do belt so that it matched her belt in real life.

The bookmark is also a Greeting farm image, which i love. I put it together very quickly, only because i had to. I guess that's a good thing every now and then, to see what you can come up with in a short amount of time.

Anyway, Daisy loved them both, which is the main thing.

Wish me luck for tomorrow night,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAISY

My beautiful baby girl turned 9 today. I just can not believe that its 9 years ago that she was born. Our little baby. i think i'll still call her that, even when she's an adult. She had a wonderful day. Spoilt rotten by all of her sisters and us this morning, then all 6 of us went to the movies, then Daisy got her ears pierced, then out for lunch, then her fave dinner at home, home made happy birthday cupcakes (will share pic tomorrow) then her choice of DVD tonight. Lucky girl, i say.

This was just one of the MANY gifts she received. Will also post pics of her card and bookmark tomorrow. Must go put one tired little 9 year old to bed!

Happy Birthday beautiful girl. You bring a smile to my face every day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNABEL

Our beautiful eldest DD turned 15 today. Where have the years gone? We are so incredibly proud of her and the gorgeous young lady she is growing into.

Not much fun though today in our house. DD#3 had foot surgery yesterday and is in LOTS of pain, and DD#4 has vomited three times so far today. At least DD#2 is OK, so she used all her new cake decorating supplies to make her sister some cute little cupcakes! Such a bad day here, that after we sang happy birthday and asked her to blow out the candles, we realized that we hadn't put any on! LOL. So, take 2 and we got the pic below.

ANOTHER STAMPAVIE

My fave stamps at the moment are Stampavie. I can't believe this is my second post for today, but here's a card using a new Penny Johnson image. I made this card to enter in the Design Team Call for icopic. I haven't actually entered yet, but couldn't wait to post, so here it is.

IMG_0828a

Unfortunately, the photo is not great as it was freezing cold and very overcast here today, but i'm sure you get the idea.I think i may even rephotograph it tomorrow.

The theme for the icopic DT call was to use some PINK on your card.

Oh, and i'd better not forget, the list.....

cryogen white cardstock

Bazill cardstock

Penny johnson stamp

patterned paper (my minds eye)

prima flowers

very old ribbon

spellbinders die

My airbrush (loving it even more)

....i think that just about does it!

Hope you like it!

icopic CHALLENGE #24

Hi there and thanks for visiting. Its been a crazy week for me, with the end of the school term, including early school Easter celebrations and lots of Birthday Parties. I have managed to squeeze in a little coloring though(to preserve my sanity), and i even found a new store/blog called "icopic". It has a great range of copics and stamps, and a cool blog with lots of challenges. You can find their blog here blog.icopic.com/

This week's challenge is to make a colored background. I used my fave piece of equipment, my AIRBRUSH, and handcut some cloud stencils to put in the sky. Then i hand drew the grass using COPICS. I also tried to airbrush a rainbow, but that was far from successful! LOL. So no rainbow for now.

Here's what i used....

cryogen white card

bazill cardstock

greeting farm stamp

accucut fence die

prima alpha

prima and zva flowers

copics of course.

A BOOKMARK

This book mark is for a special little girl who LOVES to read, hence the title on the actual bookmark. I used to color my images to match my patterned paper, but now i am not so fussy, and often color the image and then search for the perfect paper to go with it. Here i did a little of both. i actually changed the pink of her top at the end from RV's to R's to match the paper better. So here it is. Probably too many embellishments. I guess that's why they call me  the embellishment queen! LOL.

....and a close up of the coloring....

SARAH KAY

Today i have a gorgeous Sarah Kay image from Stampavie to share with you. I actually colored her months ago and hadn't got around to making her into a card, as often happens with me. I'm glad i waited though, because after completing the COPIC intermediate certification class this week, i actually added some more color to the finished product. In particular, i darkened the dark tones even more to give more contrast, and added a cast shadow, which i think i have actually almost completely covered with embellies. LOL. And i mustn't forget, i also used my new airbrush (that i still love) which i hadn't purchased when i first colored the stamp.

IMG_0562a

So, anyway, here's a list of what i used....

Phew, i think that just about covers it.......
