DS153 ~NO 1 SON~

Hi there. 

I've just spent last weekend at a 4 day scrapbooking retreat with lots of lovely ladies, and come home inspired and ready to try some new techniques. I even played with my prismacolor pencils but I will save that card for another day.

It's time now for a new DECONSTRUCTED SKETCH challenge.

Here is my card....

How cute is this stamp? I had so much fun colouring him up. I don't have the packaging with me right now, so will have to check the brand later. The sentiment is amongst several that come with the stamp set.

This was a quick and easy one for me. Not as many embellishments as I usually use, but i think it works with the striking red, black and white color combo.

It's Thursday already and time for a new Deconstructed Sketch.

I hope you like my card.

The colours haven't photographed too well. the pink is a bright neon pink in real life.

I just loved the little LAWN FAWN dies that came into my possession this week. I especially love the stitching that is part of each die. The lower edge of the raindrops paper (doodlebug) is also cut with a Lawn Fawn die.

INSPIRATION FRIDAY ~USE YOUR SCRAPS~

This week over at La-La Land Crafts we have a fabulous theme for you....

USE YOUR SCRAPS

If you've seen my super-messy craft room you will know that I had no problem whatsoever finding scraps! I found at least 100 scraps of paper and card stock piled up next to my paper-trimmer dating back to late last year (eek!)

So I sorted through my scrap pile and punched out little squares of co-ordinating papers, inked the edges and added various little embellies that were hanging around my MESSY scrap table. I may have even found a flower on the floor, but ssshhh, don't tell anyone.

I then coloured up Paper-doll marci to match my custom background. I'm pleased with how my card turned out and plan to do this frequently to try to make a dent in my scrap pile.

I recently discovered THE PAPER SHELTER , a gorgeous online store with sweet digi stamps like this one. Your purchase also comes with a coloured image and coloured background, as well as the simple outline, which makes these stamps very versatile. I coloured this stamp in copic markers to match the October Afternoon TRAVEL GIRL range of patterned papers.

It's time for this week' Deconstructed Sketch reveal, and I have done something completely different, just for a change.

I started doing "PROJECT LIFE" at the beginning of 2014 and I am loving it. I don't scrap much nowadays as time just doesn't permit, but i find the PL style of memory keeping is super-quick and easy.

So here goes.......

This page will go in our little grandson's album. I used Jen's fabulous sketch as the base for each of the 4x6" cards . The PL set is called "HAPPY" and the stamps are from MFT and coloured using COPICS.
