A BIG WELCOME

Hi there and happy Thursday to you all.

We have exciting news to share at The Deconstructed Sketch. There were so many fabulous entries for the new DT positions that we now have SIX new DT members. So I would like to extend a very warm welcome to the following ladies....

Some of these lovely ladies have previously been guest designers and others are completely new to the team. Just think of all that extra inspiration you will have each Thursday.

Today's sketch from Jen is awesome as usual.....

And I am still loving saturated Canary digi stamps and October Afternoon papers. But I did think it was time to take a break from calendar pages to make a card today. I hope you like it. It doesn't show up in the pic, but the image circle is raised up on foam tape. A very plain and unembellished card for me, but I do still like it for a change.

I do hope you have time to join in this week.  There is almost double the inspiration to be found now with our new DT. You can hop along here and check out all the samples......

And don't forget to visit JEN'S BLOG to link up your entry.

Thanks for stopping by,

Tracey.

MORE CALENDARS

Today i'd like to share with you some calendars I have just made. They're a little different to the pages I have been sharing. These are a desktop calendar that sits open like a card.

The calendar pages are little SRM sticker sheets, and I have perforated them for easy removal at the end of each month.

They are such quick and easy gifts, I wish I had have thought of making them before Christmas! Maybe next year.

Initially I thought i liked the one with the blue bow most, but now I think I prefer the pink . What do you think?

Don't forget to stop by tomorrow for some fabulous DECONSTRUCTED SKETCH DESIGN TEAM news.

Deconstructed Sketch # 85

Wow! I can't believe it's Thursday already. Time to reveal this week's Deconstructed Sketch.

I'm on a roll with my calendar project, and this week's sketch worked perfectly for my February calendar page.

Here's Jen's awesome sketch.......

And here's my take on her sketch. Pretty much followed it to the letter today.

In case you haven't noticed, I think that Saturated Canary stamps are my favorite at the moment. Although they are a little time consuming for me to colour, I just can't seem to get enough of them at the moment.

Don't forget to visit the rest of the DT for inspiration........

And then visit  JEN'S BLOG to link up your entry.

To all those who entered for the new DT positions, your enrties were fabulous. Good luck and I can't wait to see who our new fellow teamies are.

Thanks for stopping by,

Tracey.

A SUMMERTIME DS84

Hi there and Happy Thursday everyone,

It's fabulous to see so many people joining us for DS83. There are around 50 entries already! WOW! And don't forget, if you are entering the current DT call at The Deconstructed Sketch, then you still have until the 16th of January to upload your entry. You do need to use last week's sketch, DS83, but there's still plenty of time to enter.

Now onto this week's sketch, designed by the super-talented Jen Shults.......

You might recall that for DS82 i started a 2013 calendar. Well, now I only have ten months left to complete......

We are currently in the midst of a scorching Summer here in Australia, hence the beachy Saturated Canary image. She is printed out onto white blending card and colored with copic markers.

You can check out all the DT inspiration below.......

Don't forget to link up your creations on Jen's blog HERE

Is everyone enjoying all the online CHA sneak peeks?  Usually I travel to CHA every January but I won't be this year unfortunately. Family always comes first and I am needed here way too much right now to even contemplate sneaking away.

Good luck to all who have entered our DT call. Stay tuned for the big announcement.

Thanks for stopping by,

Tracey.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Happy New Year everyone. I can't believe it's 2013 already. Just where did 2012 go?

I am very excited to be able to share with you the very first Deconstructed  Sketch for 2013.

I also have some super exciting news to share about the Deconstructed Sketch Design Team, so read on.

Firstly, here is DS83, designed by the talented Jen Shults....

As I'm currently holidaying at the beach, my supplies are limited so my card is fairly plain and simple. I colored the Greeting Farm image in Distress markers on watercolor paper and used an October Afternoon paper pad for co-ordinating papers.

Unfortunately, my photography equipment is also limited here, hence the average photo too.

Hop along to check out all the DT samples here.....

And now for the big announcement that you've all been waiting for.....drumroll please........

We are looking for a few new designers to join us each week here at the Deconstructed Sketch and we hope one of them is YOU! Here are all the details on how to enter!

Design Team Call Guidelines:

DS82

Hi there all and Happy Thursday to you all.

Today we reveal our very last Deconstructed Sketch for 2012! This week's sketch runs for 2 weeks over the Christmas break with a brand new sketch for you after we welcome in the new year.

Now onto this week's sketch.....

As I have just written, addressed and posted over 50 Christmas cards, I wasn't really keen on making a card this week! So I decided to make a calendar page, for December 2013.......

I used a gorgeous Saturated Canary image, and colored her up to go on a 6X6"  calendar from
SRM Press.

Now all I need to do is decorate the other 11 months!

Make sure you check out our DT inspiration, with a special shout out to our Guest Designer          JONI WILSON

IT'S TAG TIME

Hi there and happy Deconstructed Sketch Thursday to you all.

If you've visited my blog during the week you will know that I have finally got into the Christmas spirit and started making gift tags. You could imagine how excited I was to see jen's sketch this week in the shape of.... you guessed it.... a gift tag!

So here's Jen's awesome as always sketch....

And my project using this week's sketch....

I absolutely LOVED this week's sketch. It came together so quickly for me. That's what I love about sketches.

I paper pieced the little MFT girl, so there was very little copic coloring in to do. My papers were odds and ends from October Afternoon, Echo Park, and My Mind's Eye.

Make sure you check out our DT inspiration, with a special shout out to our Guest Designer          JONI WILSON
